Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Composer AI Product team, which is building the foundation for how Klaviyo customers plan, create, edit, and iterate on their marketing strategy through an in-app, AI-powered conversational experience. The team owns the native chat surface, agent orchestrator, and agentic UI framework that other teams across Klaviyo will integrate with. In this role, you will directly impact over 170,000 brands using Klaviyo daily. You'll help define and build Klaviyo's Autonomous Marketing platform—an ecosystem of LLM-powered agents that can analyze, create, and optimize marketing programs across campaigns, flows, forms, and more. As a Senior Engineer, you will tackle complex technical and product challenges, develop multiple solution paths, and evaluate business and architectural trade-offs. You'll act as a technical leader and mentor, driving engineering quality, execution, and decision-making across projects. You'll be responsible for deploying well-designed, thoroughly tested solutions that prioritize reliability, scalability, and customer impact. Success means shipping high-quality systems quickly, contributing to foundational platform decisions, improving the intelligence and reliability of agent experiences, and helping define how AI-powered customer engagement evolves at Klaviyo. Required qualifications include 7+ years of software engineering experience, a proven track record of building high-quality products with clean, maintainable code, strong end-to-end or full-stack development experience, and experience building scalable customer-facing systems in fast-moving product environments. You should have experience leading projects, mentoring team members, conducting code reviews, and maintaining robust testing and deployment cycles. Curiosity about AI-native product development is essential, including practical experience with LLMs, AI tooling, or agentic workflows. A strong product mindset and ability to collaborate cross-functionally are required. Nice-to-have skills include Python, React, conversational AI systems, workflow engines, retrieval systems, embeddings, AWS, customer support/commerce/marketing software experience, machine learning systems, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, and observability tooling.
