Code Metal is building the next generation of automated software engineering tools that combine AI, formal verification, and static analysis to produce provably correct code. In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will design and develop code transpilation pipelines that bridge high-level algorithm development to embedded systems deployment. You'll work on foundational libraries combining Generative AI, static analysis, and formal verification techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop well-tested, extensible code for code translation products with focus on correctness and maintainability
- Architect and implement workflows spanning code parsing, semantic analysis, AI-assisted generation, and output validation
- Collaborate with domain specialists to integrate formal verification and static analysis outputs into the code generation pipeline, and enhance C++ code generation
- Partner with other engineering teams to build robust code repositories, CI/CD processes, and integration testing

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of collaborative enterprise-level software development delivering products to a large customer base
- 3+ years C/C++ experience and 2+ years Python experience
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them into software designs
- Track record of planning and executing projects in a team-based setting
- Strong software delivery fundamentals: code review, testing, CI/CD, release management, and build systems
- Experience integrating Generative AI or LLMs into software pipelines (e.g., prompt engineering, output validation, or AI-assisted code generation)
PREFERRED:
- Experience with DSP algorithms and applications using Python/MATLAB
