Signifyd is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Cloud Platform Engineering group to drive the design, implementation, and management of enterprise cloud infrastructure supporting their fraud detection and commerce platform. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic platform ownership, working with a team of skilled engineers to build and maintain a vast computing environment serving customers from startups to large enterprises processing millions of transactions.
Key responsibilities include architecting and integrating LLM-powered, agentic tools into the platform ecosystem to enable self-healing infrastructure and automated root-cause analysis. You will drive the strategic roadmap for GCP and Kubernetes-based cloud capabilities, balancing developer feedback with emerging technologies. The role emphasizes operational excellence through defining and maintaining Service Level Objectives (SLOs), incident management processes, and on-call participation to continuously harden systems.
Security is embedded throughout: you'll design transparent platform security including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management without sacrificing developer velocity. You'll also manage cloud capacity and FinOps proactively, offering efficient scaling solutions and cost transparency to engineering teams.
Developer experience is a core focus. You'll transform CI/CD (GitHub Actions, TeamCity), deployment (ArgoCD), and build tooling into a cohesive, self-service product. The goal is to embed platform standards directly into tooling so the "right way" is automatically the fastest and easiest path for engineers.
Technical leadership and mentorship are essential. You'll troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, deliver resilient product-level fixes, mentor junior team members, and foster a customer-focused engineering culture with deep empathy for developer experience.
Required skills include deep proficiency in Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, containerization, cloud networking, and security. You need strong software development fundamentals, analytical and communication skills, and experience with modern DevOps practices. Experience with LLMs, platform engineering, and FinOps is valued.
