The Cloud Infrastructure Platform team is responsible for foundational systems that enable all engineering teams to build, ship, and operate reliably. This Senior Software Engineer role is a hands-on platform engineering position focused on infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, internal tooling, observability, and developer productivity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining core platform capabilities across Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning, GitHub Actions CI/CD, internal AI agent tooling, and developer productivity systems
- Owning end-to-end delivery of moderately complex platform projects from scoping through rollout and iteration
- Improving the self-serve infrastructure platform and workflows to accelerate engineering velocity
- Strengthening CI/CD reliability and developer experience across the monorepo
- Contributing to in-house AI agent tooling that supports the software development lifecycle
- Enhancing infrastructure security through secure-by-default patterns, technical controls, and SOC 2 compliance automation
- Building monitoring, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, and cost observability for platform services
- Participating in on-call rotations, postmortems, and reliability improvements
- Partnering with internal engineering teams as customers to understand needs, design solutions, and drive adoption
Required qualifications:
- 5–8 years of backend, infrastructure, platform, DevOps/SRE, or developer-productivity engineering experience
- Proven track record building and operating infrastructure or internal platforms used by other engineering teams
- Production-quality code proficiency in Go and/or Python with strong distributed systems fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform or similar IaC, and CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions
- Strong observability, incident management, and operational ownership instincts
- Ability to independently break down ambiguous problems, make pragmatic decisions, and drive projects to completion
- Clear communication with technical and cross-functional partners; ability to influence without authority
- Comfort in high-growth, ambiguous startup environments with a strong bias for action
- Ownership mindset, quick learning ability, and willingness to work across platform and product areas
Bonus experience: Kubernetes, cloud cost optimization, security engineering, IAM, secrets management, supply-chain security, SOC 2/compliance controls, or applied AI/LLM tooling for developer workflows.
