As a Senior Software Engineer on the Channels team, you'll own the backend of a complex, massively scalable platform serving millions of users. You'll have significant autonomy to architect and develop solutions that power the core product experience, working closely with frontend, product, design, infrastructure, and SRE teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning backend systems with high autonomy and impact
- Architecting scalable solutions for a platform reaching millions of users
- Collaborating cross-functionally to conceptualize and build new product features
- Providing technical direction and establishing engineering standards across the organization
- Mentoring and guiding team members
- Improving engineering processes, tooling, and efficiency
You'll work with a modern tech stack: Scala, Elasticsearch, Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Pulsar, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and React. The role emphasizes building production-ready, scalable web applications with a focus on making the platform accessible to non-technical users.
