Tripadvisor is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Hotels Product Engineering organization, specifically the partner products group. You will design, develop, and maintain web-scale products that connect Tripadvisor's 400+ million monthly travelers with the world's leading travel brands, from major OTAs to independent boutique hotel chains.
In this role, you will take ownership of complex product challenges, designing simple solutions for intricate technical problems. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality code on schedule. Your responsibilities include analyzing and troubleshooting sophisticated web-based product features, contributing to the development of automated tools to improve team efficiency, and maintaining comprehensive system documentation for customers integrating with Tripadvisor's APIs.
You'll also participate in rotating on-call duties to support network connectivity and product stability. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of professional programming experience with deep expertise in Java, Linux, SQL, and HTTP/internet protocols. You should be comfortable working at web scale, leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate development, and have a demonstrated passion for writing clean, maintainable code quickly. Strong problem-solving ability, effective debugging skills, and the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.
This is a hybrid role based in Dublin, with flexibility to work remotely. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
