You will join the Core Squad, responsible for the foundational logical layer that powers all GitGuardian teams. This squad owns critical infrastructure: authentication (SSO/SAML, MFA), provisioning (SCIM, JIT), RBAC, public APIs, OAuth2, integrations (Slack, Jira, ServiceNow, PagerDuty, etc.), audit logs, analytics, and billing. Everything must scale reliably and never break.
Key projects include: completing the platformization journey by migrating existing customers without disrupting alerting; scaling GitHub check runs (which block PRs for most customers); redesigning plan architecture so Product and Sales can assemble offers without Engineering; building OAuth2 and public APIs for external integrations; evolving a large Django monolith with dependency inversion and progressive decomposition; rethinking self-service onboarding; and improving health checks for integrations.
You will code daily and own end-to-end delivery: scoping with PM and designer, technical design, implementation, deployment, and production monitoring. You'll also mentor junior engineers, review code, and drive quality standards across the team. The Core Squad currently has 3 senior backend/frontend/full-stack engineers, 1 engineering manager, 1 product manager, and 1 designer.
Required: 5+ years web development experience with strong Django (or FastAPI/Flask) proficiency; experience building web applications, task orchestration, distributed systems, and managing large data flows; ability to own projects end-to-end; proactive mindset; strong English and French communication; proficiency with AI-assisted development workflows. Preferred: experience with large monolithic codebases, architecture best practices, refactoring, and building reliable systems.
