As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own features and systems end-to-end across YipitData's product portfolio, including the Public Investor platform, Signals application, and AI-powered customer insights agent. You'll be responsible for production-grade systems that customers and internal teams depend on daily, requiring reliability, responsiveness, and excellent communication.
Key responsibilities include: architecting and implementing features across multiple product surfaces; designing clean, maintainable, scalable systems; collaborating with stakeholders across engineering, product, data, revenue, and customer teams; driving cross-team initiatives; leveraging AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex) as daily force multipliers; operating across the full stack (backend services, frontend applications, data pipelines, infrastructure); and raising the bar for engineering quality through code reviews, tooling, and knowledge sharing.
You'll work in a fast-moving environment where you balance speed, quality, and maintainability. The role emphasizes ownership, rapid growth, and merit-based advancement. You're expected to proactively identify opportunities, improve systems, and drive business outcomes beyond well-defined tasks.
Ideal candidates have 4+ years of hands-on software development shipping customer-facing applications; stack flexibility across Python, TypeScript/React, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Databricks); an AI-accelerated workflow using coding tools daily; comfort navigating ambiguity and delivering solutions with minimal direction; strong communication skills bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders; and a bias toward action in small-team environments.
