Salary: USD 160,000 - 190,000 / annual

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key technical contributor architecting and building secure, scalable software that protects and shares critical data. You'll work with advanced Web3 and quantum-resistant technologies to solve complex analytics and digital security challenges. Key responsibilities include: - Architect and implement secure, reliable, scalable microservices applying deep software architecture principles - Integrate VIA's Web3 components and privacy-preserving technologies into cutting-edge platform features - Define and drive adoption of end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes from concept through deployment - Lead creation and optimization of CI/CD automation pipelines for continuous integration, testing, and deployment - Develop comprehensive automated testing strategies including unit and integration tests - Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of deployed applications - Serve as subject matter expert in privacy and security, providing technical leadership - Communicate complex software designs and architectural choices to technical and non-technical stakeholders - Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery - Explore and integrate advancements in privacy, cryptography, and distributed systems Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or science; 5+ years full stack or backend development experience; strong cloud-based microservices development expertise; proficiency with service mesh (Istio), zero trust architecture, observability, RESTful APIs (FastAPI), OAuth2/Auth, asymmetric/symmetric encryption, data structures, algorithms, SQL/NoSQL databases, in-memory storage, parallel processing, message brokers, distributed task queues, Docker, and Helm charts. Preferred: experience leading Agile developer teams, proven on-time delivery of quality projects, technical advocacy, problem-solving, documentation skills, familiarity with IETF RFCs, blockchain systems, and zero-knowledge proofs.
