As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll own end-to-end architecture and implementation of complex backend and system components that power AI-native products. You'll design scalable, reliable services supporting high-velocity product development, diving deep into hard problems spanning performance optimization, data modeling, system stability, and API design. You'll partner cross-functionally with platform, applied AI, and fullstack teams to deliver robust, observable systems. A key part of the role involves improving system reliability and developer experience through tooling, standards, and architectural improvements.
You bring 6+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of complex systems. Deep proficiency in Node.js with clean backend architecture is essential. You have strong relational database fundamentals, particularly PostgreSQL, and experience designing data models. Exceptional debugging skills and strong engineering judgment are non-negotiable. You're a fast learner capable of ramping into new domains independently.
Nice-to-have skills include experience with distributed systems, caching, messaging, or multi-tenant architectures; integrating AI/LLM capabilities into backend systems; and infrastructure or platform experience (observability, CI/CD tooling, APIs).
