UiPath is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Vertical Solutions team and build the company's AI agentic orchestration platform, recognized as their Invention of the Year for two consecutive years. This high-visibility role sits at the center of UiPath's Act 2 strategy, focusing on infrastructure that enables enterprises to orchestrate AI agents, robots, and human-in-the-loop workflows. You will work with the Maestro backend team to design and develop the core orchestration engine powering enterprise AI automation. Key responsibilities include building and scaling full-stack products leveraging AI coding assistants, writing production-quality code daily using tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot, prototyping and shipping features validated with real customers, and measuring system quality against real customer data. You'll translate customer needs into elegant technical solutions and contribute to highly scalable, reliable distributed systems that enterprises depend on. Required qualifications include 7+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years focused on distributed systems and backend architecture. You must have strong proficiency in system-level languages (JavaScript, C#, Java) and full-stack capabilities spanning backend services (REST/GraphQL APIs) and frontend layers (React, TypeScript). Deep expertise in object-oriented programming, architectural design patterns, system design, and data structures is essential. You should have hands-on experience with cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern engineering practices (agile, CI/CD, DevOps, infrastructure as code). Critical for this role is production experience building AI systems: LLMs, tool-calling, multi-agent architectures, orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain), structured outputs, and evaluation of model behavior in real-world workflows. You must understand distributed systems principles including idempotency, replay ability, state management, and long-running jobs. Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and demonstrated ability to integrate them into daily workflows is required, along with experience driving team adoption of AI-powered productivity tools. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and rapid prototyping, able to move from idea to proof-of-concept quickly and iterate based on customer feedback. Strong analytical thinking, quantitative reasoning about system quality, and excellent communication skills for collaborating with globally distributed teams are essential. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience) required. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with healthcare, fintech, or procurement tech systems; data science and evaluation expertise; applied ML techniques (classification, anomaly detection, ranking, predictive modeling); large-scale data platforms (Snowflake, columnar warehouses); retrieval-heavy architectures and RAG systems; and experience designing eval-driven systems with regression testing for LLM outputs or human-in-the-loop review workflows.
