As a Senior Software Engineer on the Core team, you will work on highly available, API-driven services that process millions of transactions monthly. Reporting to the Software Engineering Lead, you'll combine startup agility with enterprise scale, architecting and implementing solutions for provisioning, configuration, CI/CD, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing highly available API services (client and server-side)
- Participating in product design, implementation, and shipping for internal and external stakeholders
- Delivering secure, testable, scalable, and well-documented software
- Championing agile practices including code reviews, pair programming, and sprint planning
- Evaluating and adopting new technologies and initiatives
- Owning code from development through deployment multiple times daily
You'll work with a tech stack centered on Golang, Python, Perl (Mojolicious), PostgreSQL, Vue.js, Docker, and Nginx, hosted on AWS. The role requires proficiency in Golang (required), experience with relational databases, full-stack web and API development, and familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, VueJS). Strong agile methodology experience (TDD, CI/CD) is essential.
