Showpad, following its merger with Bigtincan, is building an AI-powered platform for field selling and revenue enablement. As a Senior Backend Engineer on an AI-focused team, you will design and build intelligent, AI-powered features that enhance how sales teams work globally (100,000+ users).
You will develop serverless, event-driven systems and APIs that integrate with third-party services and leverage large language models to automate and enhance user workflows. Your responsibilities include:
• Developing AI-powered backend features using LLMs and modern AI capabilities
• Building and maintaining integrations with third-party platforms and APIs
• Designing and implementing a growing ecosystem of microservices to increase reliability and quality
• Contributing to development processes and environments
• Taking a security-first approach to feature implementation
• Mentoring less experienced engineers on best practices and architectures
• Collaborating with product and engineering teams through code reviews and pair programming
• Analyzing, estimating, and prioritizing complex technical projects
You will work with TypeScript/Node.js, serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock, OpenSearch), and event-driven patterns. Experience with search/vector search systems, AI/ML backend systems, and tenant database environments is valued. The role emphasizes test-driven development, continuous integration/delivery, and API design for internal and public data consumers.
The position is hybrid (2 days in office) based in Ghent, Belgium. You'll be part of a company recognized as a Leader by Forrester and Gartner's Customers' Choice, serving 2,000+ customers including Dow, Johnson & Johnson, Fujifilm, and others across manufacturing, healthcare, CPG, and enterprise tech.
