Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Custody Services team in London. The role focuses on designing and building backend systems that power custody operations, including asset transfers, settlement workflows, and account state management. You will work on systems where correctness, security, and precise execution are critical to user trust.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build backend services supporting custody operations, asset transfers, settlement workflows, and account state management
- Improve system scalability, resiliency, and performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing targeted optimizations
- Maintain and enhance systems that support asset safety, transaction accuracy, and operational integrity across custody workflows
- Participate in on-call rotation to support business needs
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience building backend systems in production environments
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, including AWS services
- Experience designing reliable, scalable distributed systems with strong focus on correctness and operational excellence
