As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key technical contributor designing, developing, and scaling cloud-native software solutions that power Re:Build's digital platforms. This role combines deep hands-on engineering with thoughtful architectural influence, emphasizing ownership, accountability, and long-term system health.
You will collaborate closely with product, design, and cross-functional engineering partners to solve real business problems. You bring a practical, outcome-driven mindset to innovation, thoughtfully integrating emerging technologies such as AI/ML where they add measurable value, and delivering high-quality software that balances speed, reliability, and maintainability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the design and architecture of software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance
- Solve complex technical challenges and optimize system performance through innovative solutions
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and direction
- Write and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and operations to drive product development
- Adhere to best practices with company software

Required qualifications: 7+ years developing professional software with solid understanding of cloud-based application development. Strong full-stack development expertise with modern backend technologies and frontend frameworks (especially React/TypeScript), with demonstrated ability to build scalable, accessible, high-performance web applications. Strong experience architecting and deploying cloud-native, serverless, and containerized applications on AWS (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, Step Functions, API Gateway, Fargate).
