You will join the Growth Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager of Software Engineering. This role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence in Palo Alto on Monday-Wednesday.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and scaling innovative solutions that drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Architecting and maintaining applications and services using TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS serverless infrastructure (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3)
- Optimizing systems and processes to improve customer acquisition, retention, and engagement metrics
- Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code while leading by example
- Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Participating in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to maintain engineering standards
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues
- Staying current with emerging technologies and best practices
- Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with focus on backend and serverless architecture
- Proficiency with TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs
- Demonstrated lean mindset: focus on customer value, waste minimization, workflow optimization, continuous improvement, and iterative prioritization
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with team-oriented approach
- Experience with growth-focused projects or user journey optimization (preferred)
