Orca Security, a $1.8B cybersecurity unicorn, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the KSPM (Kubernetes Security Posture Management) team in Tel Aviv. This is a high-impact role building and scaling one of the company's core, fastest-growing security products. You will design backend services and data models that discover, onboard, scan, and represent Kubernetes workloads, APIs, and configurations at scale across AWS, GCP, and Azure. The KSPM team enables customers to secure their Kubernetes environments with deep visibility into cluster misconfigurations, RBAC risks, admission control, compliance drift, and container vulnerabilities. Key responsibilities include: - Design and build scalable backend services for multi-cloud Kubernetes discovery and analysis - Model Kubernetes security by mapping resources into clean data models that surface risks and compliance violations - Integrate and evolve detection engines for container vulnerabilities, secrets, RBAC risks, and misconfigurations - Partner with security researchers and product managers to translate findings into impactful features - Lead design discussions and code reviews, mentoring teammates on engineering and security standards - Own features end-to-end from specification through implementation, testing, and release - Write clean, well-tested code in Python or Go with thoughtful abstractions Tech stack: Python, Go, Kubernetes APIs, OPA/Gatekeeper, Docker, SingleStore, Postgres, Redis, Kafka, SQS, Elasticsearch, AWS, GCP, Azure. You bring 5+ years of professional software development experience, a strong background in microservices and distributed systems, solid hands-on experience with Python or Go, and deep engineering fundamentals. A Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent is expected. Experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, container security, or security tooling is valued.
