OneTrust is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Product Engineering team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on owning the end-to-end delivery of complex features and components, from design through production. You will independently drive system architecture and component-design discussions for your area of ownership while collaborating closely with Product, UX, and other engineers to shape solutions during planning phases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Independently owning delivery of complex features or components, evaluating multiple interacting factors
- Driving system architecture and component-design discussions for your area
- Partnering with Product, UX, and other engineers during planning and execution
- Networking with senior engineers across the organization to align on shared technical decisions
- Identifying patterns and opportunities for quality and velocity improvements
- Conducting peer code reviews and setting quality standards for your team
- Championing testing practices, including exploratory and AI-assisted testing approaches
- Supporting the ramp-up and growth of Associate and Software Engineers on your team
You are a seasoned, fully-capable engineer who requires minimal day-to-day direction. You proactively surface risks and ambiguity, work independently on established types of work, and take ownership from design through delivery with limited oversight. You flag risks and open questions during planning or design phases before they become issues.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and latest version of Angular
- Demonstrated experience owning complex features end-to-end in frontend or backend systems
- Familiarity with a public cloud provider (Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS)
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Devin, Windsurf, or similar) in a professional setting
Preferred qualifications include informal mentoring or supporting the growth of junior engineers.
