Okta's Auth0 platform secures over 100 million logins daily for customers worldwide. The Platform Infrastructure team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Datastores team, which enables Auth0 engineers to move faster by providing tools for deploying and managing services on AWS and Azure.
In this role, you will develop large-scale, distributed, and highly-available infrastructure that serves as a foundational piece enabling Auth0 to scale for years to come. You'll implement platform tools allowing feature teams to deploy and manage datastores for their services, research new technologies to accelerate environment creation, and carry cross-team initiatives from end to end—including code reviews, design reviews, operational robustness, and security hygiene. You'll also participate in the team's on-call rotation.
You should have 5-8 years of software development experience with proficiency in or willingness to learn Golang. Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform, working with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines, and hands-on experience with data storage systems at scale (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB) is essential. Comfort with datastore reliability—standard configurations, latency, throughput, availability, utilization indicators, and performance analysis—is important. You should have experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services, a tendency to deliver work incrementally for feedback and iteration, and a passion for building systems that are highly reliable, maintainable, scalable, and secure.
This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, offering the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure that impacts the entire Auth0 platform and its global customer base.
