Okta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Enablement team, which powers Auth0's B2B customer capabilities. Auth0 is a leading authentication and authorization platform handling over 100 million daily logins globally.
You will design and deliver powerful APIs and features for enterprise customers, focusing on user lifecycle management at scale. The team builds critical capabilities that enable seamless integration of identity sources into Auth0, including Enterprise APIs and self-service features. Your work directly impacts how enterprises automate user creation, updating, and deactivation across their systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional engineers to design and deliver new APIs and features for B2B customers
- Driving technical improvements to codebase and architecture for reliability, maintainability, and scalability
- Mentoring and coaching other engineers on sound engineering practices and testing
- Working closely with Product Managers and Designers to define feature requirements and incorporate customer feedback
- Participating in on-call rotation to ensure service availability
You bring 5+ years of experience building large-scale systems and services. You have strong backend expertise with Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript) and experience building and maintaining public or internal APIs. You're comfortable with both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases, and have hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud environments (AWS/Azure). Full-stack familiarity with React is a plus. You're an excellent communicator and mentor who enjoys sharing knowledge, work autonomously while knowing when to seek help, and thrive in collaborative environments.
