Salary: USD 180,000 - 220,000 / annual
Maven is a marketplace for expert-led cohort-based learning, offering 500+ live courses taught by top practitioners (e.g., AI Product Management from OpenAI product leads). The platform has achieved 80%+ engagement rates and experts have earned $100M+. Maven is expanding into enterprise AI transformation, with early pilot partners including Salesforce, Notion, Microsoft, Walmart, Cigna, Lattice, Mozilla, and Guild.
You will join a 20-person, fully remote team as a full-stack product engineer owning significant parts of the fast-growing marketplace. Responsibilities include building and shipping features across the marketplace storefront, next-gen course platform, and recommendation/data systems. You will have high ownership over technical systems and product roadmap decisions, working closely with cross-functional teams in a high-trust, high-agency environment.
The team moves fast, writes frequently, and biases toward action. You will be expected to think strategically and own end-to-end processes. The culture emphasizes direct feedback, transparent communication via Slack status updates, and collaborative problem-solving. The company is fully remote with no-meeting Wednesdays, Friday demos, and twice-yearly in-person offsites for strategy and team building.
Tech stack: React + Next.js, Python + FastAPI, Postgres + OpenSearch, OpenAI, dbt + Snowflake. You will have the opportunity to experiment with and use the latest agentic coding tools.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience shipping real features to a real user base
- Deep thinking about user-facing product details, data model design, and system architecture
- High degree of agency and conscientiousness in work
- Crisp and thoughtful communication skills
