iSono Health is a venture-backed medical device and software company developing an FDA-cleared robotic 3D quantitative ultrasound system for breast imaging. The company has built a high-frequency, real-world data engine combining robotic imaging, AI, and breast cancer detection technology. Their "virtual sonographer" is a portable, wearable, automated point-of-care device enabling high-quality breast imaging without requiring a trained sonographer.
The Senior Software Engineer will be a key member of the growing engineering team, responsible for architecting and developing a state-of-the-art platform integrating a modern desktop application with intuitive UI for data acquisition and 3D ultrasound visualization, paired with a secure cloud backend for centralized storage and machine learning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement robust software architecture and specifications for a cross-platform desktop application of the 3D ultrasound system
- Integrate imaging algorithms, AI/ML models, and hardware interfaces into production-ready software
- Architect secure and efficient databases and file storage solutions for client and server environments, incorporating strong encryption and security practices
- Develop high-speed data acquisition pipelines and efficient workflows for real-time imaging and reconstruction
- Optimize performance of compute-intensive workloads through effective threading, resource allocation, and memory management
The role is ideal for a bright, motivated engineer interested in cutting-edge healthcare technology with the opportunity to impact millions of women worldwide through early cancer detection innovation.
