Salary: USD 150,000 - 220,000 / annual

The Senior Software Engineer role is centered on envisioning and delivering superior technical solutions to customers' payment needs. You will own the technical vision, implementation, best practices, and infrastructure within your domain. The engineering team is responsible for the delivery and stability of Finix's product end-to-end, directly enabling customers' ability to capture revenue.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deep dive into customer needs and work with product management to define new services
- Own the technical vision, implementation, best practices, and infrastructure within your domain
- Develop close relationships with product management and peer engineers
- Become an expert in your payments domain and mentor junior software engineers
- Proactively improve architecture, frameworks, tooling, automation, and best practices
- Design, implement, and test superior software with continuous delivery to production
- Monitor running systems and proactively troubleshoot production issues
- Raise the bar on every project you are involved in
You will have broad autonomy and responsibility for formulating the best solution possible and working with your peers to deliver your vision. This role requires exceptional technical acumen, attention to detail, and an obsession with building excellent, performing, and scalable software.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of experience building and designing systems through multiple lifecycles
- Extensive experience implementing secure APIs, highly available and observable services
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring of junior software engineers
- Ability to keep tight control on multiple competing priorities with strong multitasking ability
- Track record of raising the bar on every project involved
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship provided
