As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own the technical vision, implementation, and reliability of payment solutions that directly enable customers to capture revenue. This role offers broad autonomy to formulate superior technical solutions and work collaboratively with peers to deliver your vision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deep diving into customer needs and working with product management to define new payment services
- Owning the technical vision, implementation, best practices, and infrastructure within your domain
- Developing close relationships with product management and peer engineers
- Becoming an expert in your payments domain and mentoring junior software engineers
- Proactively improving architecture, frameworks, tooling, automation, and best practices
You will be expected to design, implement, and test superior software while continuously delivering code, infrastructure, tests, and features to production. The role requires obsession with finding edge cases, understanding requirements and design implications, and proactively monitoring running systems to troubleshoot production issues. You should be excited about making software reliable, scalable, and performant, and always looking for ways to grow and mentor peers.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience building and designing systems through multiple lifecycles
- Extensive experience implementing secure APIs, highly available and observable services
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior software engineers
- Ability to keep tight control on multiple competing priorities with strong multitasking ability
- Track record of raising the bar on every project you were involved in
