The company has developed LOIS (Legal Operating Intelligence System), a platform that unifies data, documents, workflows, and teams into a single system of truth for legal operations. You will join the team behind MedChron, Filevine's AI-powered Medical Chronology product. MedChron automates the analysis of thousands of pages of medical records and bills, transforming them into accurate, source-cited timelines for legal cases—saving legal teams days of manual review work.
The role involves owning features end-to-end across a modern, large-scale system architecture. On the backend, you'll work with Python/Django services and Temporal workflows orchestrating AI pipelines running on AWS and Kubernetes. On the frontend, you'll develop with Svelte/React components embedded within the Filevine platform that lawyers use daily.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable backend services, orchestrating complex AI workflows, building intuitive user interfaces for legal professionals, and solving real-world customer problems. You'll have ownership of features from conception through deployment and will shape how the engineering team builds software at scale.
