Salary: CNY 804,949 - 1,088,971 / annual
Duolingo is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join the Monetization Pillar team, which drives the company's key business initiatives around subscriptions, ads, and in-app purchases. In this role, you will develop and refine monetization strategies while building premium experiences for Duolingo's 500+ million learners worldwide.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, data science, machine learning, and ad operations teams to design and implement native Android features in Kotlin. Your responsibilities include developing, releasing, and maintaining Android application features while mentoring junior engineers and setting technical direction for the team.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, hands-on programming experience with Kotlin on Android, and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Exceptional candidates will demonstrate strong experience building reactive Android apps, self-direction with a commitment to continuous learning and mentorship, expertise in designing clean and maintainable APIs, and proficiency in writing unit tests and testable code.
