As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a high-impact team of skilled developers focused on improving service deployment, data movement across the platform, and operational automation. The team specializes in developing robust, scalable Go microservices using a modern tech stack: AWS, Docker, Postgres, and Kafka.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs supporting the evolving platform
- Contribute to the microservices transition by designing clean APIs and event-driven architectures
- Enhance database performance and data structures for high-traffic, real-time applications
- Partner cross-functionally with various teams to align technical solutions with business requirements
- Mentor fellow engineers and perform thorough code reviews to drive best practices in Golang
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to enable efficient service deployment and access
- Apply pragmatic engineering to handle complexities of distributed data movement at scale
Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands-on software development experience
- At least 2 years working with strongly-typed languages (Go, Java, C#, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing microservices in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proven ability to write maintainable, high-quality, robust code with pragmatic problem-solving approach
- Experience with SQL databases and solid knowledge of message queues (Kafka, SQS) and asynchronous processing patterns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to describe technical designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, basic networking, and Agile/Kanban methodologies
