As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join the founding team to design, build, and launch the first comprehensive digital solution for GI care (expanding to additional conditions) that delights users and delivers tangible results for patients. You will report to the Head of Engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with the founding team to develop and execute Ayble's technical roadmap
- Bring innovative ideas into the product, incorporating AI where it enhances features
- Add new features to web and mobile apps, including contributing to the API and integrations with third-party vendors and enterprise clients
- Adopt and integrate infrastructure (AWS, databases, etc.) to add product functionality with a focus on operability and observability
- Develop, launch, and monitor internal planning, grooming, and iteration processes
- Guide strategic business decisions from a technological standpoint, focused on scalability, security (HIPAA, SOC2), and compliance requirements
- Work with the Head of Data Science to build tools for scale, including database architecture and AI/ML infrastructure
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Experience with AI coding tools to build efficient processes
- Strong understanding of LLM technology and ability to leverage LLMs in product features
- Nimble, agile, self-starter mindset with growth orientation
- Exemplary communication, project management, and teamwork skills; ability to explain solutions to non-technical teammates
- Experience with API integrations
- Experience using AWS or GCP and infrastructure as a service to build cloud-native applications
- Experience with the stack: React, React Native, Python, PostgreSQL
- Proficiency with: FastAPI, Arq, Redis, NumPy, SciPy, and experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS or GCP)
- Modern tooling experience: Docker, Github, Lambda/Cloud Functions
Pluses:
- Experience with medical, healthcare, or population health data
- Familiarity with OHDSI, HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare data standards
- Experience working in a HIPAA-regulated environment and supporting data security and privacy controls
- Passion for improving healthcare and creating solutions for patients
- Experience with API integrations such as communications providers (Intercom), health devices (Apple Watch, Fitbit), payment systems (Stripe), and other apps
