Salary: USD 190,000 - 210,000 / annual
Adonis is building enterprise-grade AI orchestration for healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM). The company has raised over $95M, including a recent $40M Series C, and is headquartered in NYC.
In this Senior Software Engineer role, you'll be the technical anchor of a growing backend AI team. You'll design and ship production-grade agentic AI systems that scale to enterprise customers, set the engineering bar through code and design reviews, mentor team members, and stay connected to the research frontier to bring emerging techniques into reliable production practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and ship testable, production-grade agentic AI systems at enterprise scale
- Serve as the lead individual contributor and technical standard-bearer for a growing backend AI team
- Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers to raise team standards
- Research emerging AI techniques and translate them into practical engineering practices
- Extend and evolve services while maintaining low complexity and codebase maintainability
- Work in person at the NYC office (3 World Trade Center) at least 3 days per week
Requirements:
- Formal background in Computer Science or related technical discipline (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience
- Deep expertise in Python and its ecosystem (FastAPI, Flask, or similar)
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar)
- Strong systems design skills with hands-on AWS experience
- Track record of writing elegant, well-tested code
- Ability to move fast in ambiguous situations with clear communication
- Willingness to work in person at NYC office 3+ days per week
