Salary: USD 200,000 - 220,000 / annual
SoFi, a next-generation financial services company and national bank, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Engineering team in Seattle, WA.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, architect, and implement end-to-end software solutions for AML compliance and risk management systems. You will leverage expertise in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies to deliver high-quality, scalable applications that directly impact financial security and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure server-side applications, microservices, and APIs
- Work with databases and data models to manage and store information effectively
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to support efficient data processing and analysis
- Partner with senior engineers to translate business needs into technical designs, developing software solutions, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization
- Conduct thorough testing of software components, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing
- Guide and mentor junior engineers in technical best practices and foster a culture of engineering excellence
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies
This is a hybrid role with the option for part-time telecommuting from SoFi offices in Seattle, WA.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related quantitative discipline, or foreign degree equivalent
- Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
- Required technical skills: Java, Python, AWS, Agile Development Methodology, Test-Driven Development, experience in all phases of SDLC, CI/CD Pipelines, Jira, Github/Gitlab or equivalent source code repository management, Springboot, React, SQL, Data Structures, JavaScript, Design Patterns, Operating Systems, Microservices, Docker
