B-Stock is the world's largest B2B re-commerce platform, connecting sellers and buyers of returned, trade-in, and overstock inventory. We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, scale, and maintain the next generation of our marketplace platform.
This is an AI-native engineering role. At B-Stock, AI is not a side experiment—it's how we build. You'll work in an AI-first workflow, using agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as a daily, core part of delivery. You'll orchestrate one or more AI agents across parallel work-streams, bring strong engineering judgment to reviewing and validating AI-generated code, and decompose ambiguous problems into clear specs and prompts that AI can reliably execute against. You own the output; the AI does not.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with product owners to design, implement, and deploy systems that scale e-commerce, content, and fulfillment operations
- Deliver elegant, effective software quickly using AI to accelerate without sacrificing quality or ownership
- Provide thought leadership on process, tooling, systems, and software architecture—including how we adopt and get leverage from AI
- Improve and maintain existing systems, prioritizing maintainable solutions and removing friction from development
- Mentor other engineers through design and architecture planning, code review, and knowledge sharing
- Stay fluent in a fast-moving toolchain and help raise the bar for how the whole team works with AI
You bring 7+ years of software development experience and are already an AI-native engineer who builds with agentic/AI-assisted tools daily. You're comfortable with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and backend languages (Node.js, Python, or Ruby). You're an exceptional problem solver, clear communicator, and thrive in agile environments. Bonus experience includes scaling backend and distributed systems, strong testing and CI/CD discipline, and shipping AI-powered features.
Tech stack: TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.js, MongoDB/PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes.
