Delinea is an identity security platform that uses AI-powered intelligence to govern human and machine identities across cloud and traditional infrastructure. The company secures access for the world's largest organizations and is backed by TPG.
In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will build new AI security features into Delinea's access proxy product—the critical point where agent and user traffic is inspected and controlled. You'll treat protocols like Model Context Protocol (MCP) as enforcement boundaries and build controls for agent-to-agent communication. Your work will involve connecting the proxy product to the broader Delinea Platform and validating the experience with design and paying customers on live capability.
As the product matures, you'll migrate these features natively into the platform while keeping existing customers running smoothly throughout the transition. You'll enforce just-in-time access and policy decisions in the request path, leveraging the platform's identity and authorization building blocks. You'll partner closely with product teams and the teams building the platform's proxy and access engine.
You'll need 8+ years building production backend or networking systems, with hands-on experience in proxies, gateways, API gateways, or similar request-path inspection/control systems. Strong skills in modern backend languages (Go, C#, Java, Rust) are essential. You should have experience evolving products across releases, including moving capabilities between systems without disrupting customers, and the ability to work complex problems with limited direction while making sound design trade-offs.
Ideal candidates have background in secure access technologies (privileged access management, zero trust, SSH/RDP/database proxying), familiarity with AI agents or LLM traffic, or experience in security and identity domains. This role reports directly to the Director of Engineering, Securing AI, and is based in Mexico City.
