Replicant is building AI agents that handle millions of customer service calls monthly for Fortune 500 companies. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Delivery team, you'll own AI agents end-to-end for assigned customers, from discovery through production operation.
You'll sit with customers to understand their workflows and translate business goals into concrete agent scope. You'll design and write agent prompts, instructions, and conversation flows, iterating against evaluations and real transcripts. You'll integrate agents into customer systems by calling their APIs as tools, handling authentication, errors, and edge cases. You'll build comprehensive test sets covering happy paths, edge cases, and hallucination risks, then measure and harden agents for production.
In this customer-embedded role, you'll monitor live conversations, debug from logs and transcripts, and ship fixes under pressure. You'll feed patterns and missing capabilities back to Product to accelerate future agent builds.
You bring customer-facing strength—earning trust quickly, decomposing ambiguous business problems into concrete plans, and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical audiences. You have integration fluency: understanding how to connect systems via APIs, design clean tool schemas, and validate bespoke customer integrations. You can shape LLM behavior through structure, instructions, and examples, write unambiguous instructions, and bring product taste for what good conversations sound like.
A CS degree or software engineering title isn't required. If you've learned how systems talk to each other through systems administration, integration engineering, technical support, or similar work, Replicant wants to hear from you. Nice-to-haves include TypeScript/Python/SQL, forward-deployed or solutions engineering experience, conversational AI or contact center domain knowledge, and LLM evaluation tooling familiarity.
