DriveWealth is a global B2B fintech platform democratizing access to financial markets through an API-based infrastructure. The company enables partners worldwide to offer seamless investing and trading experiences, supporting US equities, mutual funds, ETFs, fixed income, and options trading. The Senior Software Engineer on the Cash & Liquidity Management team will work collaboratively with technology and business teams to build next-generation features for the API and money movement platforms. This role offers two key opportunities: handling interesting technical challenges related to scale as DriveWealth experiences growth, and gaining deep knowledge of the money movement side of finance. Responsibilities include hands-on backend software development, collaborating with internal stakeholders to architect and design new systems, maintaining and enhancing existing systems, integrating with vendor banking-as-a-service APIs, and automating manual operational processes in real-world money movement workflows. Required qualifications: 7+ years of backend software development experience using OOP/Functional principles in Java (or JVM languages like Kotlin/Scala), RESTful API design and integration experience, proficiency with Spring Boot, OpenAPI, message queuing frameworks (AMQ, Kinesis, SQS, Kafka), distributed caching (Redis), DynamoDB or similar databases, and Postgres or similar relational databases. Active development experience in cloud-based microservices environments (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is essential. Experience with compute/container platforms such as AWS EC2 and Kubernetes is highly preferred.
