BinSentry is a fast-growing ag-tech company based in Kitchener, Ontario, focused on transforming the agriculture supply chain through AI-powered optical sensor technology and software solutions. The company helps feed mills and protein producers optimize feed ordering, improve animal health, enhance employee safety, and reduce environmental impact. BinSentry currently monitors over 64,000 bins in real time across North America.
You will join a small, fast-moving team to develop the ProSense HD product line, working across the backend and ML pipeline. This is a new role created due to growing business needs. The team is outcomes-focused, data-driven, and tackles complex technical challenges with minimal bureaucracy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting and analyzing data to understand sensor performance characteristics
- Reporting progress and communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Proposing solutions to ambiguous technical and organizational challenges
- Delivering outcomes quickly and iteratively
- Collaborating with the principal architect and product team to enhance sensor accuracy and performance
You are a smart, detail-oriented generalist developer with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly. You excel at managing ambiguity, prioritizing effectively, and adapting when new information emerges. You're a proactive problem-solver and professional team player.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in JavaScript (React, Node.js)
- Demonstrated computer vision, ML architecture, and problem-solving ability (preferred)
