Checkmarx is seeking a Senior Software Architect to lead the evolution of its cloud-native SaaS platform and enterprise Data Lake. This is a high-impact role focused on shaping next-generation architecture for an AI-powered application security platform trusted by 1,600+ customers globally.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead the architectural vision and technical roadmap for Checkmarx's cloud-native SaaS platform, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and high availability across distributed systems.
• Own the enterprise Data Lake architecture and drive the organization's transformation from traditional SDLC to AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC), defining vision, architecture, and best practices for AI-native software engineering.
• Design and evolve Checkmarx's next-generation agentic development platform, enabling developers to leverage AI agents throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and development teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Produce high-quality architecture documentation, technical designs, RFCs, implementation plans, and long-term technology roadmaps.
• Stay hands-on by building proof-of-concepts, validating emerging technologies, reviewing critical designs, and contributing to production code.
• Drive platform-wide improvements in scalability, reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence.
• Guide engineering teams through architectural decisions using technical leadership, collaboration, and influence across multiple R&D teams.
• Mentor engineers and technical leaders while promoting engineering best practices and architectural excellence.
• Present architectural strategies and technical proposals to diverse audiences from developers to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
