Graphcore is building the future of AI compute as part of the SoftBank Group. The company combines semiconductor, software, and AI expertise to create a complete AI compute stack from silicon and software to datacenter-scale infrastructure.
Reporting to the Director of Silicon Architecture, the Senior SoC Architect is responsible for the design, specification, modelling, and integration of sub-systems within complex, high-performance, highly integrated silicon devices at the forefront of AI acceleration technology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Distilling product requirements and analyzing their effects on SoC/platform design trade-offs
- Collaborating with processor, SoC, and system architects to determine optimal solutions
- Architectural specification, integration, modelling, validation, and evaluation of critical sub-systems
- Working on high-speed interfaces for upcoming AI acceleration platforms
- Close collaboration with architecture, silicon design, verification, hardware, and software teams
The Silicon Architecture Team sits within the COO group and is responsible for the architectural specification and integration of numerous critical sub-systems that enable Graphcore's next-generation AI acceleration platforms. This is a technical leadership role for an experienced architect who can bridge product requirements with silicon design constraints and drive innovation in AI compute infrastructure.
