Filevine is a Legal AI company building a unified platform for modern legal work, powered by LOIS (Legal Operating Intelligence System). The platform connects data, documents, workflows, and teams to transform legal operations from reactive to proactive.
The Reliability team is responsible for ensuring Filevine's products are reliable, scalable, performant, cost-effective, and secure, with disaster recovery capabilities. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be embedded with a cross-functional team overseeing critical portions of the systems infrastructure.
In your first year, you will gain deep context of the Filevine environment and build foundational knowledge. The reliability infrastructure is in a nascent state with foundational pieces recently completed or under active development. You will apply software engineering principles to create autonomous systems that handle operational complexity, using continuous improvement to iterate and enhance these systems over time.
In successive years, you will own mission-critical objectives focused on building and improving autonomous systems at scale. You will establish yourself as an exceptional engineer who has architected and maintained systems capable of growing to internet scale. The role emphasizes applying SRE principles to solve problems around reliability, scalability, performance optimization, cost efficiency, and disaster recovery.
You will work with AWS infrastructure and be responsible for the telephony and communications platform components. The team values engineers who think systematically about operational excellence and can translate complex infrastructure challenges into elegant, maintainable solutions.
