As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you'll join the founding SRE team at Legora's new NYC engineering hub within the Foundations group. This is a full-time, 5-day in-office role based in Union Square, working closely with engineering teams in Stockholm.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building, shipping, and operating foundational platform services with end-to-end ownership
- Designing and maintaining a high-signal observability stack (metrics, logs, traces) and translating signals into actionable insights
- Defining and evolving SLIs/SLOs, alerting strategies, and reliability reporting for critical systems
- Improving on-call processes and incident response, including escalation paths and post-incident follow-ups
- Reducing operational toil through automation, tooling improvements, and better system design
- Partnering with product and platform engineers to design resilient systems and improve deployment safety
You should bring significant production systems experience, including debugging under pressure and preventing repeat incidents. You're comfortable writing software and building automation to solve reliability problems, with strong observability and incident management expertise. Experience with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes is expected. You're autonomous, systems-thinking, and take pride in the quality and resilience of systems you operate.
