The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will join the cloud infrastructure team, reporting to the Manager of Software Engineering. This role is critical to enabling product teams to safely release software while maintaining high performance and stability across Jobber's infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code principles (Terraform)
- Developing and maintaining local tooling for development, observability, and deployment (AWS, CircleCI, and related components)
- Active participation in on-call rotation and driving improvements to the on-call experience
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve infrastructure challenges at scale
- Leveraging AI tools to augment engineering capabilities while maintaining strong engineering judgment
Required qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud systems support, preferably AWS (Azure experience also valued)
- Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
- Experience optimizing continuous deployment performance
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Ruby, Python, or Bash
- Ability to manage multiple projects and incident response simultaneously
- Deep passion for reliability, automation, orchestration, and continuous improvement
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills, especially under pressure
- Demonstrated commitment to learning and adopting effective practices and tools, including AI
Desirable experience:
- Supporting Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and React applications in production
- Security, scalability, and observability optimization
- Kubernetes (team is moving in this direction)
- Networking, DNS, and domain infrastructure management (Cloudflare, etc.)
