Ivo is a contract intelligence platform that uses AI to automate contract review and analysis for enterprise customers including Uber, Meta, Canva, IBM, and Shopify. The company recently completed Series B funding and has grown 800% over the past 12 months.
As Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will own the infrastructure foundation that powers Ivo's platform. Each customer receives an isolated environment (containers, database, VPC) to protect sensitive contract data. You'll be responsible for ensuring uptime, reliability, and performance across these distributed systems while meeting strict SLAs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and enforcing SLI, SLO, and SLA targets to minimize on-call incidents
- Designing failover and disaster recovery systems that work in real-world scenarios
- Implementing data residency and geo-fencing requirements for regulatory compliance
- Building security controls that pass audits without degrading product performance
- Creating observability systems that answer what broke, why, and how often
- Leading incident response and writing postmortems that drive organizational learning
You'll need minimum 5 years of professional experience with a strong foundation in failure mode analysis and distributed systems design. The ideal candidate thinks in terms of system constraints, can translate business requirements (like contract data residency) into infrastructure decisions, and has experience in startup environments.
This is not a "keep the lights on" role—you'll architect the systems that enable the company to scale reliably. You'll be deeply embedded in the engineering team and encouraged to explore how LLMs can improve infrastructure and observability.
Ivo values pragmatism, resourcefulness, and bias toward action. The team prioritizes impact over process and seeks 80/20 solutions. Full-time, in-person role in downtown San Francisco with catered lunches, gym access, and dog-friendly office.
