Ivo is a contract intelligence platform that uses AI to automate contract review and analysis for enterprise customers including Uber, Meta, Canva, IBM, and Shopify. The company recently raised Series B funding and has grown 800% over the past 12 months.
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will own the reliability, uptime, and performance of Ivo's infrastructure end-to-end. You'll be part of the Infrastructure team responsible for keeping the platform running at scale while meeting strict SLAs for customers who store sensitive contract data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and enforcing SLI, SLO, and SLA targets to minimize on-call incidents
- Designing failover and disaster recovery systems that work in real-world scenarios
- Implementing data residency and regional isolation requirements for customer data
- Building security controls that pass audits without degrading product performance
- Creating observability systems that provide visibility into system failures
- Leading incident response and writing postmortems that drive organizational learning
You'll need a minimum of 5 years of professional experience with a strong foundation in distributed systems, failure mode analysis, and infrastructure design. The ideal candidate thinks in terms of failure scenarios, designs systems that continue operating despite failures, and can translate business requirements (like data residency) into concrete infrastructure constraints.
This is not a "keep the lights on" role—you'll be architecting the foundational systems that enable the entire company to scale. You'll work closely with the engineering team and have opportunities to explore how LLMs impact infrastructure challenges. The company values pragmatism, resourcefulness, bias toward action, and startup mentality. Experience in startup environments is preferred but not required.
