ARX Robotics is seeking a Senior Simulation Platform Engineer to join the Data & Simulation team in Munich. This role focuses on building the cloud and infrastructure backbone for large-scale robotics simulation and validation. You will design and implement a scalable simulation platform that enables autonomous robot testing, validation, and innovation at massive scale. Key responsibilities include: - Architecting the technical vision for a platform running complex robotics simulation and automated validation workloads - Building core services and infrastructure for launching, scheduling, and monitoring simulation jobs across local, on-premise, and public-cloud environments - Implementing reliable orchestration for distributed workloads with intelligent resource allocation, queuing, and failure handling - Creating developer-friendly APIs and CLI tools that make sophisticated simulation accessible without deep infrastructure expertise - Integrating simulation into CI/CD pipelines for automated regression and release validation - Establishing high-performance compute, GPU, storage, and observability foundations for large-scale simulation - Designing a unified execution environment connecting ROS2 middleware, vehicle software, and simulation engines Required qualifications include strong experience building and operating cloud platforms or compute-intensive infrastructure, proficiency in Python and/or C++, production experience with Kubernetes and public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), deep understanding of distributed job execution and workflow orchestration, expertise in platform observability and reliability, and professional English fluency. Experience with robotics or defense tech is valued but not required.
