FlixBus is seeking a Senior Shared Services Accountant to support general ledger accounting functions and ensure the accuracy of financial data across the organization. This role is based in Mexico City with a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, tax, and legal to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles
- Strong background in Record-to-Report (R2R) / Reconciliation-to-Reporting (RTR) processes
- Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in English
