As a Senior Security Operations Engineer, you will be a key member of the global Security Operations Team, responsible for monitoring and responding to security events, leading security incidents as Incident Commander, and conducting digital forensic investigations in support of Employee Relations, Legal, Compliance, and Information Security initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor security events and provide technical analysis on alerts
- Lead information security incidents and employee investigations by developing incident response strategy, executing through closure, and providing stakeholder updates
- Deliver security guidance for incident response and insider threat initiatives
- Coordinate building of services, capabilities, integrations, and technology implementations to support security operations and incident response
- Mentor and train security operations engineers on data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Create and maintain runbooks and automated workflows
- Assist in process refinement and implementation
You will collaborate with a diverse team of analysts, engineers, and stakeholders on security initiatives across the company, bringing security expertise in a collaborative, humble, and practical manner.
Minimum qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Security Incident Response
- Ability to communicate investigative findings to technical staff, executives, and legal teams
- Proficiency in Python for building scripts and tools to support investigation processes
- Practical experience leading security incident response, including alert monitoring, triaging, and cross-team coordination
- Understanding of analysis and forensics techniques on macOS, Windows, and Linux
- Experience with SIEM tools for log reviews
- Experience with cloud architecture and security (AWS, GCP) and cloud-based services
- Must reside in Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time Zone (US or Canada)
