Lendbuzz is building innovative financial technology to provide underserved borrowers with better access to credit. We are seeking a Senior Security Lead to partner with our CISO and drive the execution of Lendbuzz's security strategy and roadmap.
In this role, you will own the day-to-day operations of the security function, including priorities, planning, tracking, metrics and follow-through. You will translate business objectives into scalable security programs and controls, and act as a key stakeholder in security governance, risk management and decision-making across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the CISO on security strategy execution and key initiatives
- Managing the day-to-day security function operations, priorities and metrics
- Translating business objectives into scalable security programs and controls
- Serving as a key stakeholder in security governance and risk management
- Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Infrastructure, Product, Legal, Compliance and Business teams to align on security priorities
- Supporting regulatory, audit and customer security requirements while keeping security aligned with business goals
- Driving adoption of AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve security effectiveness
- Fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence and security ownership
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across multiple security domains and the ability to communicate technical risk in business terms to senior stakeholders. You will work with global teams and international stakeholders in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity or Security Engineering
- Proven experience leading security programs or initiatives in large-scale, high-growth organizations
- Strong background across multiple security domains: Security Engineering, Security Operations, Cloud Security, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management and Governance
- Extensive experience securing cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP and/or Azure)
- Deep understanding of security architecture, security controls and modern security technologies
- Experience with regulatory frameworks, audits, compliance programs and risk management
- Excellent communication skills; ability to write and present clearly to senior stakeholders and explain technical risk in business terms
- Highly organized with sound judgment and strong sense of ownership
- Fluent English with experience working with global teams and international stakeholders
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience in fintech, financial services or highly regulated environments
- Experience leading AI security or security automation initiatives
- Hands-on experience with modern security platforms (CrowdStrike, Wiz, Okta, SIEM, identity solutions)
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC or equivalent
- Experience building and scaling security teams
