Braze is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the Enterprise Security team in Toronto. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage comprehensive security solutions protecting Braze's infrastructure, employees, and assets across a high-scale, growing customer base. You will take ownership of critical security infrastructure operating at the intersection of cloud operations, product security, and system architecture. Key responsibilities include investigating malware and advanced threats, implementing data loss prevention (DLP) across multiple solutions, securing SaaS applications, hardening internal configurations, and proposing security architecture enhancements. You'll develop and maintain SIEM capabilities by configuring detections, enhancing alerting, and implementing automation systems for detection and reporting. This is a hands-on technical role with significant scope. You'll collaborate with diverse security professionals and engineering teams to address first-in-industry security challenges, develop and enforce security policies, and review business partner technologies for security improvements. Your expertise will span enterprise networking, IAM, SSO, MDM, password management, vulnerability remediation, forensics, and threat investigation. As a senior team member, you'll mentor junior associates in security concepts, participate in on-call rotations, and respond to critical incidents and escalations. You'll operate independently and collaboratively, serving as a key decision-maker regarding internal product and system deployments. The role requires adaptability to support adjacent security domains including app security, compliance, and cloud security as needed. You'll have the autonomy to implement automation systems, prioritize ingestion, and maintain system operability while ensuring teams implement applications and environments in compliance with defined security policies based on risk avoidance and security best practices.
