Salary: USD 180,000 - 250,000 / annual

Translucent is an agentic AI platform built exclusively for healthcare finance, founded in 2024 and backed by GV, NEA, FPV, and Virtue. The company is deployed by healthcare organizations managing over $5 billion in combined revenue, solving the critical problem of healthcare finance teams drowning in spreadsheets and manual data work. As Senior Security Engineer, you'll be the primary security engineer for the platform technology organization, owning security and compliance across IT and software development practices at the frontier of LLM-agentic product development. You'll work in GCP and across sub-processors, partnering closely with platform and product engineers to keep core deployed systems secure and well-tested. Key responsibilities include: managing SecOps software in GCP and Vanta; continuously monitoring and improving deployed software's security posture; validating software correctness, security, and customer privacy; managing compliance standards and diligence work lifecycle; maintaining a database of core security artifacts and documenting processes; building data and AI governance frameworks for internal operations; selecting and auditing technologies for internal use; and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and security standards. You'll need 5+ years of post-university industry experience with strong expertise in Vanta and SecOps platforms, cloud DevOps IaC (preferably Terraform/OpenTofu), auditing cloud-based LLM tools, IT procurement and security vetting, SAML/SSO/SCIM/OIDC/identity management, and security-focused design and code reviews. Experience in high-growth, highly regulated industries (healthcare, finance, or defense) is essential. Nice-to-haves include SOC II and HITRUST audit process leadership, vendor relationship management, Google Security Command Center, Auth0/Okta, and programming experience in Golang, TypeScript, or Python. The role is based in Union Square, New York City, with in-office presence 4 days per week.
