As a Senior Security Engineer on the Security Operations Team, you will be a key technical leader responsible for monitoring and responding to security events, leading security incidents as Incident Commander, and conducting digital forensic investigations supporting Employee Relations, Legal, Compliance, and Information Security functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor security events and provide technical analysis on alerts
- Lead information security incidents and employee insider investigations, developing response strategy and coordinating execution through closure
- Deliver clear security guidance for incident response and insider threat initiatives
- Coordinate building of services, capabilities, integrations, and technology implementations to support security operations and incident response
- Mentor and train security operations engineers on data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Participate in on-call rotation covering weekends
- Create and maintain runbooks, automated workflows, and assist in process refinement
- Collaborate with diverse teams and key stakeholders on security initiatives across the company
You will bring 5+ years of security incident response experience, practical expertise acting as a lead during incident response (monitoring, triaging, coordinating across teams), and proficiency in Python for building scripts and tools. You'll have strong communication skills to convey investigative findings to technical staff, executives, and legal teams, plus hands-on forensics experience on macOS and Windows systems. The role emphasizes collaborative problem-solving, humility, and practical security expertise in a hyper-growth environment.
