Orkes is building the operating system for AI agents and workflows, providing infrastructure to move AI from conversation to real-world action. The platform orchestrates complex business processes at scale, handling billions of workflows, and bridges the gap between LLM-driven reasoning and deterministic execution.
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will own the security roadmap for Orkes' multi-cloud control plane and customer-hosted deployments. You'll architect critical guardrails including IAM, RBAC, and secure agent-tool integration to make complex workflows production-ready. This role ensures security is fully integrated into the SDLC and cloud control plane, enabling customers to confidently automate sensitive business processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Shipping production code fixes and platform guardrails (Java/Python/TypeScript)
- Owning and prioritizing the security roadmap based on threat landscape analysis
- Serving as first responder for penetration testing, security audits, and CVE management
- Architecting multi-cloud security across AWS, Azure, GCP, and self-hosted environments
- Designing RBAC and authorization systems across product and platform
- Implementing security testing in CI/CD pipelines (SAST/DAST/SCA)
- Threat modeling real systems and translating findings into strategy
- Evaluating AI-coding practices and security implications
Required: 7+ years of security engineering experience, hands-on coding ability, multi-cloud security architecture expertise, RBAC/authZ system design, CI/CD security testing, and threat modeling skills.
Nice-to-haves: OSCP/CKS certifications, Kubernetes security, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP), detection engineering, or red-team experience.
